Did it get loaded on your corporate image maybe? I've been installing Acrobat Reader for over 25 years and have never had a printer installed.Nope. Any chance those machines came with Acrobat Standard? For example, Dell sells Standard pretty cheap (relatively speaking) with a new PC. My users caught a building on fire and apparently I am the first person they call. Many can barely find the power switch.Oh, I can venture a guess.

This is possible and by word of mouth could have spread to others, but you haven't met my users.LOL. Maybe some users have personal Adobe accounts.Good thought indeed. I could be wrong, but when running appwiz.cpl and checking the list of installed programs I saw nothing but Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can, however, access some "extra" features of Adobe if you sign in to reader.

I just thought it came with older versions of the free downloadable reader. I thought perhaps someone may have had a trial, but this too wouldn't explain why several have it. We have never owned a copy of Adobe Pro or Standard anything as now we currently use BlueBeam Revu (better product for our engineers).

I've always, for years, had to install other PDF printers. Good though too.however we are still on Office 2010 many of us on 2007.

I've always, for years, had to install other PDF printers. Office comes with a Print to PDF feature now. I have a work around, always have.just wanted to see if anyone had an answer other than "Īdobe Reader has never had a PDF printer" on this site.Īdobe Reader has never had a PDF printer" on this site.I've never seen Reader install a PDF printer. This OP is an exercise in mystery solving, nothing else. I'm saying that on machines that never had Abode Pro in my building, that only have older versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader (free D/L) they all have an Adobe PDF Printer.

I don't need to be logged into the forum and also I did not say only Adobe Pro, Adobe Standard is the one that has it too. Oh BTW- your link doesn't work unless you have a login to Adobe -)Okay, I get your sarcasm but see below. Then explain to me why I have machines that have never had Adobe Pro, only the free reader from a year ago and yet they have an "Adobe PDF Printer" installed. I have been installing Adobe's free reader for over 10 years now on various platforms and have always found a PDF printer installed. No really, see below

The only applications that include a PDF printer from Adobe is Adobe Acrobat Professional or Standard. That is not true. Adobe Reader has never had a PDF printer, you can use Foxit Reader, PrimoPDF, CutePDF and other tools.
